October 1: Quebec announced results of a Sept 24 draw where the province invited 365 candidates to apply for permanent resident through the Quebec Skilled Worker program. Invited candidates had to have a valid job offer or meet one of two other rare criteria.


September 29: British Columbia invited 450 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. Certain occupations were excluded.

September 29: Ontario did a short intake for the OINP Masters Graduate stream. The stream opened to new applicants for a short window and closed after meeting its quota of 1,215.


September 24: Saskatchewan issued 525 invitations to candidates in the  Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Candidates across dozens of occupations were eligible for invitation.


September 24: Manitoba invited 189 candidates, including 18 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.


September 24: Nova Scotia invited Express Entry candidates with experience in one of two trades occupations (NOC 7321 & NOC 7322) to apply for nomination through the Labour Market Priorities stream September 22: British Columbia invited 74 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a Tech Pilot draw.


September 17: PEI invited 313 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 32 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.


September 17: The federal government has introduced a temporary facilitative measure to assist paper-based PNP applicants (not Express Entry-aligned) who are applying through a job offer-based PNP stream, but who have lost their job offer due to COVID-19. Learn more.

September 16: British Columbia invited 407 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. Certain occupations were excluded.


September 15: Saskatchewan issued 621 invitations to candidates in the  Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only three tech occupations were considered.


September 10: Manitoba invited 212 candidates, including 22 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.


September 8: British Columbia invited 67 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a Tech Pilot draw.


September 8: Ontario has proposed a new points-based Expression of Interest (EOI) selection system to be used in five OINP streams.


September 1: British Columbia invited 428 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. Certain occupations were excluded. 11 entrepreneurial candidates were also invited.


August 31: British Columbia has been excluding 31 occupations from its PNP draws in response to COVID-19. The province has confirmed that it will likely continue excluding these occupations through to the end of 2020.


August 27: Ontario issued 21 invitations to candidates in the OINP’s Entrepreneur stream. Entrepreneurial candidates with scores between 144 and 200 were considered.


August 27: Manitoba invited 213 candidates, including 23 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.

August 26: Saskatchewan issued 570 invitations to candidates in the Occupations In-Demand stream of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.

July 14: British Columbia invited 320 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. Certain occupations were excluded. Apply Now.


July 8: Alberta announced the results of a draw on June 17 in which 187 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 303.


July 7: British Columbia invited 57 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a Tech Pilot draw.


July 6: Ontario has re-opened the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream after a brief pause.

August 25: British Columbia invited 72 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a Tech Pilot draw.
