The latest Express Entry Draw was on September 30th, 2020. In this draw, 4200 candidates were issued with invitations to apply to the Canada Permanent Residence Program. The CRS score of the lowest ranking candidates was 471. There was no specified program from which these candidates were selected.
The programs in the Express Entry are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was from March 2nd, 2020. The tie-break procedure prioritizes those candidates whose profiles have been in the pool longer. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
After candidate identity which program they meet eligibility, they are then added to the pool of candidates. They ranked in the pool using a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
