Canada invites 392 candidates in the express entry pool on June 24, 2020. The lowest ranking score amongst the candidates selected in this category during this batch was 696.
The PNP program is one of the many ways Canada shows it is welcoming to a new immigrant to Canada. This program is for workers who:
- have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory
- want to live in that province, and
- want to become permanent residents of Canada.
- Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target specific groups) and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target:
- students
- business people
- skilled workers
- semi-skilled workers
Express Entry is an online system that is used to manage applications for permanent residence programs. There are three main programs under the Express Entry — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates are scored using eligibility criteria for which are awarded points. These criteria are also known as six selection factors, which are your age, education, skilled work experience, and proficiency in English or French, adaptability, and sometimes job offers..
