Canada invites 341 candidates in the express entry pool on June 10 2020. The lowest ranking score amongst the candidates selected in this category during this batch was 741.

The draws from march 2020 has seen a different dynamic where candidates in the PNP and CEC are the main programs selected. This PNP program is one of the many ways Canada shows it  is welcoming to new immigrant to Canada. This program is for workers who:

  • have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory
  • want to live in that province, and
  • want to become permanent residents of Canada.
  • Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target:
    • students
    • business people
    • skilled workers
    • semi-skilled workers

Express Entry is an online system that is used to manage applications for permanent residence programs. There are three main programs under the Express Entry — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates are scored using eligibility criteria for which are awarded points. These criteria are also known as six selection factors which are your age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, adaptability and sometimes job offers..
