On February 19th, 2020, Canada issued 4500 invitations to Candidates in the Express Entry System. This is a ground breaking record of all times since Express Entry  was introduced in January 2015.

Candidate with a CRS of 470 were invited to apply to the permanent resident program. This is the fourth draw of 2020  with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score dropped by two points in comparison with the previous draw .

Canada has now issued 14,800 ITAs so far in 2020, after issuing a total of 85,300 in 2019. IRCC broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.

Canada’s high-skilled immigration admission target for 2020 is 85,800, up from 81,400 in 2019.

Express Entry is an online system that is used to manage applications for permanent residence programs. There are three main programs under the Express Entry — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates are scored using eligibility criteria for which are awarded points. These criteria are also known as six selection factors which are your age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, adaptability and sometimes job offers..
